The Centre for Geometrical Metrology (CGM) is the collective name for the dimensional metrology facility at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), under the Department of Mechanical Engineering (DTU Mechanical Engineering).

The Centre for Geometrical Metrology is based on a total staff of 9 engineers and 4 technicians, being the foremost center of knowledge in Denmark within the field of dimensional metrology.

CGM's facility occupies a total area of more than 200 m2, subdivided into four measurement laboratories.

The Centre is operating on the strength of more than 50 years experience in metrology and manufacturing technology at DTU Mechanical Engineering and the private company IPU.

The activities within the Centre comprise research, education and contract work for industry, offering development and calibration services.
Since 1992, CGM provides testing and calibration services under accreditation - DANAK Reg. nr. 273.

In 1996, the Ministry of Business and Industry appointed CGM, in a cooperation with the Danish Tecnological Institute (DTI), as National Primary Laboratory for Geometry (NGM).

Since 2009, CGM acts under DTU as Designated Institute. CGM collaborates within the Danish Primary Laboratory for Length (DPLL) with DTI and Danish Fundamental Metrology (DFM).
